A. Entry

An entry can be filed by all providers of psychotherapeutic treatment who are working in the fields of psychologic therapy, be it individual, relationship and family therapy, and wish to advertise their services or practices. However, psychotherapy should constitute one of their major fields of work (at the given time or in the future).

B. License for psychotherapy

As a basic principle, you should have the authorization to practice as a psychotherapist in your country, as you are advertising in a list that carries the term "psychotherapy" in its name.

According to general language understanding it has to be assumed that customers will expect this to comprise healing offers. In case your offer comprises counseling only (e.g. in the field of relationship therapy), you should explicitly point out that this is not a therapeutic treatment in order to minimize legal risks.

C. Guidelines for writing

In order to make sure that the entries are properly sorted, it is important to observe certain guidelines for writing.

• So you should always make sure that the country abbreviation is placed before the area code in the form of [GB-00000 city], that is, without a space in between. Otherwise your entry will always be placed on the bottom of each list. As most persons interested in psychotherapy conduct their search specifically by location, there would be hardly any chance for you to be found.
   
• Your text should contain the most important search terms as keywords, so that your entry can easily be found within and without the network. Therefore it makes sense not to leave out any important information such as registration as a panel doctor, additional training, specializations, or the like.
   
• The reference field offers space for some appealing sentences directed to your potential clients. Besides the picture this is certainly one of the most important fields in your profile.
   
• Especially as the data pool is growing, the personal photo is the first feature of the entry that draws the [the user's] attention. It is the photo that actually decides, whether the information in your entry will be read or not.

D. Legal basis

The field of alternative treatment is very tightly regulated in most European countries, and that with good reason. Please make sure your entry does comply with the legal regulations. In detail this means:

• Only use the term 'psychotherapist' if you are authorized to do so.
   
• In addition to the general regulations, please also observe the occupational regulations of your profession regarding possible restraints on competition.
   
• Refrain from promising a complete cure.
