My therapeutic approach is Psychosynthesis and Gestalt. Within my work with adults and adolescents I also incorporate creative therapeutic techniques.
I work with adults and adolescents coming to therapy for support with issues such as; depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, panic attacks & PTSD, sexuality, anger, relationship issues, loss of meaning and purpose, and also personal development.

Shelley Hutchinson is a qualified Psychosynthesis Counsellor working in County Cork
I trained from 2003 at Psychosynthesis and Education Trust and gained my Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. I currently work in private practice as a professional counsellor in Cork City, and Kilbrittain.
I worked as a volunteer counsellor for several years at the registered charity, One in Four and specialised in a diverse range of sexuality issues.
I am trained in working with a range of techniques including guided visualisation, gestalt chair work, free drawing and sand tray work. These techniques can provide clients with insights into themselves, and their thoughts and feelings.
My background prior to embarking on a career in counselling was as a University Lecturer teaching fashion studies. I continue to utilise my teaching experience by providing academic tutoring on a one to one basis to students on Post Graduate Psychosynthesis Counselling Diploma. I have also assisted with basic counselling skills training as a Gilmore Group Facilitator on this course.
I have experience facilitating groups in the areas of intimacy and sexuality. I currently give talks on topics such as "Making your life goals happen", and write articles published in the press (these articles can be seen on my website).
